University of Parma and the ICoN Consortium Italian Culture on the Net in cooperation with the Universities of Milan and Turin: theoretical skills in the field of preservation and digital management of cultural heritage with the aim of providing incentives for the retrieval and enhancement of the Italian cultural heritage abroad (printed and handwritten documentation, works of art, photography, design, sound, audiovisuals, cinema, customary items)
Enrollees will have access to the dedicated platform www.mastertutelabeniculturali.it and will study online teaching material designed by scholars from the University of Milan, Parma and Turin and by officers from the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione and from the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo Unico.
Laboratoty activities carried out at the CSAC of the University of Parma, the Biblioteca Palatina of Parma, the Casa della Musica del Comune di Parma, the Archivio storico del Comune di Parma, the Centro Apice of the University of Milan and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema of Turin: practical skills in the field of preservation and digital management of cultural heritage with the aim of providing incentives for the retrieval and enhancement of the Italian cultural heritage abroad (printed and handwritten documentation, works of art, photography, design, sound, audiovisuals, cinema, customary items)
-Documentary and artistic production (artistic project and cinema, audiovisuals, multimedia and musical production);
-Automated organization and management of documentary archives and art collections

The Master’s Programme is open to foreign undergraduates (Italian laurea di I livello or equivalent foreign qualification) or Italian undergraduates resident outside Italy with a near-native knowledge of Italian.
Italian undergraduates resident in Italy can attend the programme if the minimum number of enrolees required is not reached.
Mode of delivery
Face-to-face sessions in Parma (Italy) at the beginning of the programme and following e-learning phase.
The scheduled plan (60 Italian University credits – 1500 hrs) foresees laboratory activities (250 hrs in total) with face-to-face sessions.
During the first two weeks students will visit the CSAC of the University of Parma, the Biblioteca Palatina of Parma, the Casa della Musica of the Comune di Parma, the Archivio Storico of the Comune of Parma, the Centro Apice of the University of Milan and the Museo Nazionale del Cinema of Turin.
The following e-learning phase foresees tutorship and self-paced learning activities based on teaching materials designed by scholars of the Universities of Milan, Parma and Turin and by officials of the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione and of the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo Unico (900 hrs); the plan also foresees a stage (200 hrs) and a final work (150 hrs). The Cinema area will include teaching lessons on the Museo Nazionale del Cinema of Turin, on the preservation of audiovisuals and on the preservation and re-use of amateur family videos.
€ 3.500 to be paid by instalments
